My mum had a severe mental illness which negatively impacted her mothering ability ... I often felt like *I* was the mum, and she was the child. I guess its how life picks you. Would you really want to have celebrity parents? I doubt I would. My dad has a pretty high flying powerful job, and he spent alot of my childhood away on business. And it does hurt when the people you considered to be your friends remain silent, inactive and stay away. It almost feels like you're diseased and they don't want to catch that disease. It hurts in the most awful unimaginable way and anyone who reads this and hasn't experienced such a close death, I pray they will take notice and reach out to those they care about when death touches their family. As the same thing will hit them one day, when they are least prepared and it's our family and friends we need around us in those most awful days following the death.
