Okay I admit it, I had the blues yesterday and didn’t feel like thinking about what I am thankful for … blame those raging hormones!

So this post might be a day late, but it’s NEVER too late to be thankful! Here’s my list of five things that made me smile this week …

1. I finished the new edition of Footprints (#51) and sent it to the printer … here’s a sneak peek at the cover (see you get special treatment because you read this blog!):

2. I enjoyed a fun night out for dinner with my workmates on Tuesday night.

3. Praise God for ibuprofen tablets – conquering the menstrual migraine so I could smile again!

4. A husband who loves me and gives me lots of cuddles even when I have my cranky pants on.

5. Not having to go to work yesterday when it was raining and miserable, and I was feeling decidedly down in the dumps - instead I got to snuggle under my doona with a new book, “The Significant You … and Me”. Even more exciting, it was written by a Footprints reader and contributor, Dianne Riley. Thanks Dianne!

Now over to you! What five things made YOU smile this week?

Love the cover for #51. Sneak peaks are great!

My 5…..

* A great friend who always encourages me
* The ‘Love Dare’ that hubby and I started last weekend.
* My boys who although challenging at times, bring me great joy.
* The chat my mum and I had over the phone this morning
* Women who are just like me in their struggles and joys & who are willing to share them :)

Thanks Janet

What made me smile this week was memories of my husband being silly when I really needed to fun-up instead of being so serious. One time he sandwiched himself between the mattresses of the ensemble bed. Then another time when I needed to change the sheets on the bed and he didn’t want me to, I went downstairs to get the sheets, came back upstairs only to discover that he had barricaded the door with blankets, sheets, pillows, cardboard boxes, and everything imaginable, to stop me from getting back into the room to change the bed sheets. Needless to say he had a HUGE grin on his face! The blessings of a good husband…
