Welcome to the all-new Footprints blog, which will not only give you regular updates on the day-to-day life of your favourite magazine, but is also a place for you to add your comments, respond and join in the chat. 

Last night the Footprints Team got to play at being fashion models! Anissa, Nicola, Melanie, Vivian, Jenny and I put on our glad rags, and the lounge room of Camilleri Cottage was transformed into a makeshift photographic studio, complete with backdrop, loud music (“Shackles” by Mary Mary), lights, film crew (photographer, assistant, my daughter taking video) and excited onlookers (my husband and son, assorted neighbourhood children, the cat …!).

So what was the special occasion? It was the photo shoot for our 10th birthday edition magazine cover! Afterwards, the girls and I continued the celebrations at a nearby restaurant – it “just happened” to be my 41st birthday as well as the photo shoot for Footprints Issue #41. How’s that for coincidence?! The Footprints Team are in party mode to celebrate the magazine’s 10th birthday!

Getting all ten members of the Footprints Team together at one time proved to be impossible, what with Joanne living in the USA, Kathie in Melbourne, and Pauline currently in NZ.  It was also a challenge to include our photographer Victoria as she was the one taking the picture; and we decided to “excuse” Sonia, seeing as she is currently 8 months pregnant and not up to long car trips! But these Team Members won’t be left out, as we will include a pic of each one in our special birthday issue.

Congratulations on the great look of the blog and of course the birthday celebrations for both you and Footrpints. Hope you both continue to go from strength to strength. I’ll look forward to the next issue.
